Mario Mikolas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Pagomari to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Candelaria FC booed when Guadalupe Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Pagomari didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute Domingos Polentzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Martxel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domingos Polentzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ubaldo Martxel having to make a save. David Pagomari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Mario Mikolas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ubaldo Martxel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Polentzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Fabricio Dominic ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ubaldo Martxel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When Teodosio Daunte came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Candelaria FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodosio Daunte couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute Domingos Polentzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Martxel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Domingos Polentzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Candelaria FC's Fermin Peruxu got a free kick in the 92nd minute. David Pagomari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geronimo Silban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
