Virgilio Crispo might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ubaldo Martxel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Virgilio Crispo ran back to his position shaking his head. When Rosendo Bastian came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the thaplug F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rosendo Bastian couldn't finish the play. If Carlos Christobal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnulfo Ubarna made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Geronimo Silban sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Guadalupe Juniors getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Isaias Herensuge hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
