In the 3rd match minute, Instituto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Damario to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the match, Dionisio Erroman notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Instituto's Delmar Bortzaioriz. Delmar Bortzaioriz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Delmar Bortzaioriz came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by El Equipo de Tandil's Jorge Argina. But to his dismay, Jorge Argina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 19th minute Gaudencio Cuartio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmar Bortzaioriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Joaquin Clementi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With 24 minutes on the clock, Rafael Lucian commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 26th minute there was a penalty for El Equipo de Tandil. Lino Vincent stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Delmar Bortzaioriz. 0-3. Joaquin Clementi charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquin Clementi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Dionisio Erroman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delmar Bortzaioriz was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Candido Damario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Amador Enekoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Apolo Ursino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Instituto's Candido Damario got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Apolo Ursino made the kick off in the second half. Lino Vincent took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Delmar Bortzaioriz. Instituto's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Instituto's Delmar Bortzaioriz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Cuartio in the 59th minute of play. El Equipo de Tandil's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lino Vincent in the 61st minute. In the 62nd match minute, El Equipo de Tandil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ceferino Rico to maneuver through the defense. Delmar Bortzaioriz made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Dionisio Erroman sent off a good shot on target. If Apolo Ursino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Damario in the 73rd minute of play forced El Equipo de Tandil's goalkeeper Amador Enekoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Eleuterio Bertran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the match, Instituto's goalkeeper Delmar Bortzaioriz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dionisio Erroman. Instituto's Delmar Bortzaioriz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Bertran in the 85th minute of play. Ariel Olando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Delmar Bortzaioriz had great luck who in the 89thth minute grab hold of the ball when Gaudencio Cuartio from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 93rd minute of the match Lino Vincent shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Delmar Bortzaioriz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Instituto's Joaquin Clementi got a free kick in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the game Lino Vincent kicked a great long shot which passed Delmar Bortzaioriz straight ahead into the goal, Result 0-4. One couldn't see Lino Vincent behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. El Equipo de Tandil walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
