The audience thought a goal was coming when Dionisio Erroman got free with Candido Iliana in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ramiro Loiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amador Enekoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Kikineitor booed when El Equipo de Tandil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Bertran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Candido Iliana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaudencio Cuartio in the 38th minute of the match. Fabricio Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Enekoitz having to interfere. When Fabricio Perez came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Kikineitor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabricio Perez couldn't finish the play. Candido Iliana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dionisio Erroman in the 46th minute. After a defensive mix-up in El Equipo de Tandil's zone, Fabricio Perez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amador Enekoitz came out of the goal and Fabricio Perez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 70thth minute of the game Gaudencio Cuartio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kikineitor's Candido Iliana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Fulgencio Papo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amador Enekoitz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabricio Perez went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Amador Enekoitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabricio Perez in the 82nd minute. With a little luck, El Equipo de Tandil's Amador Enekoitz got control of the ball when Fabricio Perez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabricio Perez might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amador Enekoitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabricio Perez ran back to his position shaking his head. Amador Enekoitz came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Kikineitor's Fulgencio Papo. But to his dismay, Fulgencio Papo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in El Equipo de Tandil's zone, Fabricio Perez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amador Enekoitz came out of the goal and Fabricio Perez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Kikineitor could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than El Equipo de Tandil throughout the match.
