After a rather tough play, Riachuelo FC's Niceto Odol got a free kick in the 7th minute. Amadeo Bilbo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adrian Bernaldo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Perpinya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Riachuelo FC's Uriel Cristos got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute Adrian Bernaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Perpinya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Higinio Berdoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riachuelo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Higinio Berdoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Higinio Isadore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the match, Riachuelo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Ipar came free, but Hugo Perpinya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Adrian Bernaldo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo Perpinya was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. If Pascual Ipar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Bernaldo in the 34th minute of play forced Riachuelo FC's goalkeeper Hugo Perpinya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrian Bernaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Perpinya having to interfere. Adrian Bernaldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amadeo Bilbo made a kick off. Hugo Perpinya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Ipar in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Guantánamo's Ismael Baraquiel got a free kick in the 57th minute. Higinio Isadore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Berdoi in the 58th minute of play. Riachuelo FC's Hugo Perpinya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Ipar in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th match minute, Club Atlético Guantánamo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Baraquiel to maneuver through the defense. Higinio Berdoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Isadore having to interfere. Hugo Perpinya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascual Ipar, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 82 minutes into the game, Higinio Berdoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Riachuelo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético Guantánamo the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Higinio Berdoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Ipar in the 89th minute of play forced Riachuelo FC's goalkeeper Hugo Perpinya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Riachuelo FC's zone, Adrian Bernaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Perpinya came out of the goal and Adrian Bernaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Amadeo Bilbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 95 minutes into the game, Higinio Berdoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Higinio Isadore was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
