Leopoldo Maxin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernando Ariando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Maxin in the 19th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Casares's goalkeeper Edgard Pedroso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonzalo Frutos. Gonzalo Frutos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Edgard Pedroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgard Pedroso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gonzalo Frutos went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Santos Luzaide kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After having played for 36 minutes, Gonzalo Frutos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Tierra y las Hormigas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonzalo Frutos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leopoldo Maxin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Ariando having to interfere. Fernando Ariando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Illan, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arturo Illan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fernando Ariando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Illan in the 52nd minute of the match. The supporters of Casares booed when La Tierra y las Hormigas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Baumar didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Arturo Illan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Casares booed when La Tierra y las Hormigas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Baumar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonzalo Frutos struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Edgard Pedroso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Tierra y las Hormigas. 63 minutes into the match, Gonzalo Frutos notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Casares's Edgard Pedroso. Edgard Pedroso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 65 played minutes La Tierra y las Hormigas got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Baumar. Jimeno Vergaray hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Isidro Foro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Ariando read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Gonzalo Frutos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Pedroso having to interfere. Adrian Palos made in the 84th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Arturo Illan immediately put the ball in play. Fernando Ariando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santos Luzaide in the 86th minute of the match. Gonzalo Frutos scored 4-1 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgard Pedroso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. La Tierra y las Hormigas had won after a very even match.
