Guaberto Hori's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antonio Chorache read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Ladislao Ipar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Antonio Chorache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Artemio Cordero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 21 minutes, Ladislao Ipar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chorrillos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ladislao Ipar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute Horacio Lauren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Mogel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Chorache stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guaberto Hori's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After having played for 52 minutes, Artemio Cordero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Mandarina Dinámica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artemio Cordero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 54th minute, La Mandarina Dinámica's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Guaberto Hori fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 55 minutes into the game, Ladislao Ipar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Antonio Chorache was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ladislao Ipar struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Antonio Chorache didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chorrillos FC. Horacio Lauren took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacinto Mogel. Jacinto Mogel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 67 minutes into the match, Artemio Cordero notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Chorrillos FC's Jacinto Mogel. Jacinto Mogel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Antonio Chorache made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ladislao Ipar in the 72nd minute. Eloy Orlondo's late challenge caught a Chorrillos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eloy Orlondo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Chorrillos FC booed when La Mandarina Dinámica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eloy Orlondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artemio Cordero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Mogel having to interfere. Jacinto Mogel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Lauren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacinto Mogel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Cordero in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Mandarina Dinámica's goalkeeper Antonio Chorache, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, La Mandarina Dinámica's Antonio Chorache got control of the ball when Ladislao Ipar tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Guaberto Hori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
