After some careless play in the Chorrillos FC defense, Orlando Mendez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacinto Mogel. The Chorrillos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacinto Mogel should have stopped the shot. The Académica FC fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Académica FC's Donato Pasqual looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jacinto Mogel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Mendez, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, Donato Pasqual ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacinto Mogel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 18 minutes into the match, Chorrillos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Linqvist came free, but Jacinto Mogel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sven-Edvin Sävström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacinto Mogel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Mendez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Sven-Edvin Sävström notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Chorrillos FC's Jacinto Mogel. Jacinto Mogel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 28 minutes into the game, Académica FC's Sven-Edvin Sävström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacinto Mogel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. 31 minutes into the game, Augusto Gagriel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chorrillos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Académica FC the free kick. Augusto Gagriel kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. With 36 minutes on the clock, Mauro Balesio commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 38th minute there was a penalty for Académica FC. Staffan Bålström stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jacinto Mogel. 0-8. The audience was convinced that Orlando Mendez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacinto Mogel was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. After 42 played minutes Chorrillos FC got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Gagriel. Orlando Mendez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Mogel having to interfere. Chorrillos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orlando Mendez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-9 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 56th play minute Ingvar Linqvist came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jacinto Mogel. 0-10. A hard shot 63 in the game by Orlando Mendez from a close distance when the talented Jacinto Mogel managed to make a qualified save. Chorrillos FC's players were relieved. Adrian Refugio kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The Académica FC fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Académica FC's Orlando Mendez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. It was Staffan Bålström who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Académica FC's Ingvar Linqvist to fire away a dangerous shot which Jacinto Mogel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Académica FC's Orlando Mendez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacinto Mogel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With his leg Jacinto Mogel managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Académica FC's Ingvar Linqvist fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sven-Edvin Sävström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Mogel having to interfere. Jacinto Mogel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Sävström in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Orlando Mendez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-13. Jacinto Mogel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 85th minute, William Prata had to leave the field with a concussion. After 85 minutes, Adrian Refugio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chorrillos FC and the Académica FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Académica FC's Jose Urko was substituted for William Prata. In the 87th minute, Orlando Mendez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jacinto Mogel. The goal made the score 0-14. Jacinto Mogel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlando Mendez's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Jacinto Mogel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Sävström, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Sven-Edvin Sävström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jacinto Mogel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Académica FC played a much better game than Chorrillos FC and deserved their victory. The Chorrillos FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
