The supporters of Académica FC booed when Leoni AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualterio Jokin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 3rd minute, Orlando Mendez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Académica FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 8 minutes Leoni AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Staffan Bålström who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Staffan Bålström almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Leoni AFC's Jacobo Chus did a great save. Sven-Edvin Sävström succeeded in the game's 11th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. In the 19th minute, Orlando Mendez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Académica FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Edvin Sävström in the 23rd minute of play forced Leoni AFC's goalkeeper Jacobo Chus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24thth minute of the game Orlando Mendez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leoni AFC's Jacobo Chus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jacobo Chus was a little too slow when Orlando Mendez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 5-0. Leoni AFC's Jacobo Chus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Sävström in the 34th minute of play. Sven-Edvin Sävström scored 6-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacobo Chus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th minute, Académica FC's Orlando Mendez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 7-0. Jacobo Chus stood somewhat misplaced when Orlando Mendez came free in front of goal and shot 8-0 to the left of him in the 39 minute. Donato Pasqual hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Orlando Mendezs short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Jacobo Chus to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Orlando Mendez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the match, Leoni AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Edvin Sävström came free, but Jacobo Chus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 8-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carmelo Evis to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Académica FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Orlando Mendez hit a great ball. Jacobo Chus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Sävström, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Orlando Mendez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Jacobo Chus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Académica FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edelmiro Urtun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Chus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jacobo Chus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Edvin Sävström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Académica FC had played much better football throughout.
