The audience thought a goal was coming when Benito Iliana got free with Nicasio Jaume in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st match minute, Leoni AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Bernad to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Everardo Cordarrol made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Tasma FC's Ariel Raymundo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacobo Chus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Carmelo Evis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Carlos Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicasio Jaume made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Iliana in the 65th minute of play. Nicasio Jaume showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Iliana in the 72nd minute of the match. Horacio Duarte charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horacio Duarte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tasma FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benito Iliana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
