The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roberto Ponce showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Tim Duncan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Laffitte having to interfere. Aurelio Petri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aurelio Petri to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Jarillas FC's zone, Roberto Ponce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaldo Orti came out of the goal and Roberto Ponce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jarillas FC's Arnaldo Orti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Blasi in the 64th minute of play. Roberto Ponce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Orti having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Jarillas FC's Tim Duncan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Prospero Laffitte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 70th minute Emiliano Gonza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Orti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roberto Ponce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Orti having to interfere. Arnaldo Orti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Gonza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prospero Laffitte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Petri, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. jazdelisa were victorious despite being under pressure from Jarillas FC for much of the match.
