Augusto Gagriel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Chus having to interfere. Benito Iliana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Jacinto Mogel made a huge save. In the 12th minute, Adrian Refugio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Carmelo Evis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacinto Mogel was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Chorrillos FC's Jacinto Mogel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Evis in the 16th minute of play. Jacinto Mogel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Evis, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 19th match minute, Chorrillos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Gagriel to maneuver through the defense. Jacinto Mogel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Evis in the 22nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Chorrillos FC's zone, Benito Iliana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Mogel came out of the goal and Benito Iliana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacobo Chus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guaberto Hori went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Carmelo Evis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacinto Mogel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. If Carmelo Evis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48thth minute of the game Ladislao Ipar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leoni AFC's Jacobo Chus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guaberto Hori to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Leoni AFC's Benito Iliana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacinto Mogel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59th minute, one of Leoni AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Leoni AFC. Chorrillos FC's Jacinto Mogel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Evis in the 63rd minute of play. Leoni AFC's Carmelo Evis got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, Leoni AFC's Benito Iliana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacinto Mogel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Chorrillos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Iliana came free, but Jacinto Mogel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 1-1 became the score in the 78th minute when Benito Iliana elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Leoni AFC's Victor Celipe got a free kick in the 81st minute. Jacinto Mogel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benito Iliana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Chorrillos FC's Ladislao Ipar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chorrillos FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
