Spectators: 7248 (Terracing: 5437, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) After having played for 9 minutes, Pastor Handi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Covunco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pastor Handi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Leoni AFC's Benito Iliana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aldo Lluques narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Pastor Handi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Chus. Leoni AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pastor Handi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 22 minutes into the game, one of Leoni AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Evelio Aurre placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! When Francisco Ospetsu came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Leoni AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Ospetsu couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute, Benito Iliana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Covunco's Aldo Lluques got control of the ball when Benito Iliana tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th match minute, Leoni AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Txerran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pastor Handi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45thth minute of the game Pastor Handi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leoni AFC's Jacobo Chus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Pastor Handi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Benito Iliana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Lluques having to interfere. Benito Iliana stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of Covunco's defenders and the ball went out. Leoni AFC appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. 60 minutes into the game, Celedonio Artizar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Covunco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leoni AFC the free kick. Celedonio Artizar hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Aldo Lluques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Iliana in the 62nd minute of the match. Benito Iliana took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aldo Lluques. Aldo Lluques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Benito Iliana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacobo Chus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Handi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacobo Chus made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Casimiro Savion sent off a good shot on target. Casimiro Savion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Chus having to interfere. Casimiro Savion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Covunco's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
