Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgilio Baldovino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cristo Lluques came out and tried to block the shot, but Virgilio Baldovino slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 33rd minute. After 43 played minutes, A.A.L.C.'s Gervasio Barros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cristo Lluques came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in A.A.L.C. reached it. 45 minutes into the match Albano Lia climbed in front of goal and pressed up 2-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Cristo Lluques. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
