The referee ignored Pocitos FC's protests and gave Gilberto Oxel a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Pocitos FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of el Tacho S.F.V.L.Y.S:s goal. Cecilio Abar had in the 33rdth minute some difficulties stopping Laureano Goyo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Mateo Tome fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecilio Abar having to interfere. el Tacho S.F.V.L.Y.S's Alfonso Tiniebra got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Pocitos FC's zone, Alfonso Tiniebra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cecilio Abar came out of the goal and Alfonso Tiniebra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the match, Alfonso Tiniebra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cecilio Abar. Pocitos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfonso Tiniebra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Gilberto Oxel kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pocitos FC's zone, Laureano Goyo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cecilio Abar came out of the goal and Laureano Goyo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Alfonso Tiniebra's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Cecilio Abar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 60 minutes, Angel Rafel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the el Tacho S.F.V.L.Y.S and the Pocitos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Angel Rafel kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. If Siro Francho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcelino Cambranes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siro Francho, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. el Tacho S.F.V.L.Y.S's Marcelino Cambranes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siro Francho in the 82nd minute of play. Pocitos FC's Victoriano Mitxel got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcelino Cambranes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siro Francho in the 86th minute of play. Cecilio Abar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mateo Tome in the 89th minute. el Tacho S.F.V.L.Y.S's Mateo Tome got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Pocitos FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching el Tacho S.F.V.L.Y.S's performance. The match ended with a win for el Tacho S.F.V.L.Y.S.
