Spectators: 7174 (Terracing: 5407, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 110) Julio Dunixi started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Fulgencio Gonsalvo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Mede in the 10th minute of play. Santo Kimetz came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético River Plate's Modesto Atarratze. But to his dismay, Modesto Atarratze quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When Erasmo Tavio fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético River Plate's protests and gave Erasmo Tavio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Damnsen booed when Club Atlético River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Tavio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fulgencio Txurio kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. If Modesto Atarratze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Horado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Marcial Mede got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 48th minute, Julio Dunixi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Horado made a kick off. In the 56th minute Pedro Horado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Gonsalvo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Dunixi scored 3-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santo Kimetz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Modesto Atarratze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 minutes of play Club Atlético River Plate's Erasmo Tavio was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Erasmo Tavio hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 74th match minute, Club Atlético River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justo Garci to maneuver through the defense. When Marcial Mede came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Club Damnsen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcial Mede couldn't finish the play. Marcial Mede might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fulgencio Gonsalvo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcial Mede ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 83rd minute Pedro Horado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Gonsalvo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute of the match Modesto Atarratze sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Santo Kimetz skillfully saved the ball. If Marcial Mede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Dario Errando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Damnsen's supporters rose to their feet, but Dario Errando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulgencio Gonsalvo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Club Atlético River Plate's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
