That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. 6 minutes into the match, El Gigante Rosarino's goalkeeper Hilario Handi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celso Lucero. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Gigante Rosarino's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bernard Recino was slow to take the kick. During this time Gordoneta FC's players had a chance to rest. Anacleto Jorrin charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anacleto Jorrin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Anacleto Jorrin kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Jesus Asur in the 12th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Gordoneta FC's Cipriano Raebert. In the 13th minute, Celso Lucero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hilario Handi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Celso Lucero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Hilario Handi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the El Gigante Rosarino defense, Raimundo Oriche kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hilario Handi. The El Gigante Rosarino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilario Handi should have stopped the shot. In the 30th minute, Cipriano Raebert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Celso Lucero could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Hilario Handi however easily saved by the left post. 39 minutes into the match, El Gigante Rosarino's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Lucero came free, but Hilario Handi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celso Lucero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Hilario Handi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conrado Nel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celso Lucero to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Celso Lucero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hilario Handi. El Gigante Rosarino's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celso Lucero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. El Gigante Rosarino's Silvio Caton got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, El Gigante Rosarino's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Pelagius came free, but Hilario Handi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Celso Lucero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hilario Handi was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Celso Lucero succeeded in the game's 64th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 7-0. When Celso Lucero came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Gordoneta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Lucero couldn't finish the play. Hilario Handi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Oriche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, Ismael Pelagius made a precise shot to the right of Hilario Handi. El Gigante Rosarino's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. After a defensive mix-up in Gordoneta FC's zone, Melquiades Orlanda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurinho de Lima came out of the goal and Melquiades Orlanda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Silvio Caton fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Gigante Rosarino's protests and gave Silvio Caton a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd minute, Silvio Caton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hilario Handi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Lucero in the 83rd minute of the match. Conrado Nel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Hilario Handi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celso Lucero in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hilario Handi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hilario Handi came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Gordoneta FC's Ismael Pelagius. But to his dismay, Ismael Pelagius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. In the 93rdth minute of the game Celso Lucero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Gigante Rosarino's Hilario Handi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 94th minute Conrado Nel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Handi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Gordoneta FC were the better team. Gordoneta FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
