In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Gigante Rosarino's goalkeeper Hilario Handi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Campichuelo booed when El Gigante Rosarino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Bilbo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 7 minutes of play, Campichuelo's Adolfo Gaufred made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hilario Handi was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of El Gigante Rosarino booed when Campichuelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Gau didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Campichuelo's Mauro Belarmo got a free kick in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Gau in the 14th minute of play forced El Gigante Rosarino's goalkeeper Hilario Handi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jose Gau hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Jose Gau fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, El Gigante Rosarino's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Gau came free, but Hilario Handi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hilario Handi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Gaufred in the 20th minute of play. Adolfo Gaufred struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Hilario Handi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campichuelo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Melquiades Orlanda got free with Romulo Bastiaro in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Campichuelo's Jose Gau fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 40thth minute of the game Adolfo Gaufred who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Gigante Rosarino's Hilario Handi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 41st minute Jose Gau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Handi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anacleto Jorrin charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anacleto Jorrin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to El Gigante Rosarino getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Anacleto Jorrin hit a great ball. Jose Gau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the El Gigante Rosarino defense, Adolfo Gaufred kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hilario Handi. The El Gigante Rosarino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilario Handi should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adolfo Gaufred stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Campichuelo's Romulo Bastiaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melquiades Orlanda in the 53rd minute of play. After having played for 54 minutes, Melquiades Orlanda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Gigante Rosarino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melquiades Orlanda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56th minute Adolfo Gaufred shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Handi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 58 played minutes El Gigante Rosarino got a freekick which was hit by Anacleto Jorrin. Basilio Bela hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Romulo Bastiaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melquiades Orlanda in the 64th minute of the match. If Adolfo Gaufred had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anacleto Jorrin was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After recieving a nice pass, Campichuelo's Francisco Perrando tried to score from far away in the 70th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Edgardo Gitano charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgardo Gitano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Francisco Perrando was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in El Gigante Rosarino's zone, Adolfo Gaufred stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Handi came out of the goal and Adolfo Gaufred tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd minute, Silvio Caton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 85 minutes, Adolfo Gaufred managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campichuelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Gaufred was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Jose Gau left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Campichuelo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jose Gau got free with Hilario Handi in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute, Melquiades Orlanda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Campichuelo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than El Gigante Rosarino throughout the match.
