In the 3rd minute Edgard Olo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Frutos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 4 minutes, Gaspar Frascuelo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River Norte F.C. and the Colón AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th match minute, River Norte F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Frascuelo to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bartolo Cambranes in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rosendo Frutos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. River Norte F.C.'s Rosendo Frutos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Olo in the 20th minute of play. Edgard Olo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rosendo Frutos having to make a save. 27 minutes into the match, Bartolo Cambranes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rosendo Frutos. River Norte F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bartolo Cambranes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 29 minutes into the game, Casimiro Timo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. River Norte F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colón AFC the free kick. A collision led to River Norte F.C. getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Casimiro Timo hit a great ball. Victorino Guib fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Birjaio having to interfere. Victorino Guib received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Filomeno Birjaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gaspar Frascuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victorino Guib was the one to do the kick off. After 60th play minutes Victorino Guib shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Filomeno Birjaio and just under the crossbar into goal. After 63 minutes, Bartolo Cambranes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colón AFC and the River Norte F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to River Norte F.C. getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Gaspar Cristofol hit a great ball. Bartolo Cambranes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rosendo Frutos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Victorino Guib fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Birjaio having to interfere. Faustino Gonsalvo hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 79th match minute, Colón AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Olo to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Colón AFC's Hilario Veremundo got a free kick in the 80th minute. Victorino Guib received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Filomeno Birjaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Colón AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Frascuelo came free, but Filomeno Birjaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filomeno Birjaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Guib, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the game, River Norte F.C.'s Casimiro Timo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filomeno Birjaio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. After a defensive mix-up in Colón AFC's zone, Victorino Guib stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filomeno Birjaio came out of the goal and Victorino Guib tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. River Norte F.C. had played much better football throughout.
