After some careless play in the Larrechea defense, Efrain Henric kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elvio Matia. The Larrechea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elvio Matia should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Larrechea's goal looked a bit too open when Serafino Nel came free, but Elvio Matia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ladislao Soter fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Larrechea's protests and gave Ladislao Soter a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Atletico Los Locos booed when Larrechea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislao Soter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elvio Matia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafino Nel in the 33rd minute of play. Robustiano Barea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Otsando having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robustiano Barea in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramon Otsando prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Serafino Nel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Justo Etxekopar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Larrechea's supporters rose to their feet, but Justo Etxekopar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramon Otsando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Natalio Primeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Serafino Nel made a kick off. The supporters of Atletico Los Locos booed when Larrechea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Maule didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th match minute, Larrechea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Hermelando to maneuver through the defense. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robustiano Barea couldn't finish the play. Elvio Matia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafino Nel in the 80th minute of the match. Larrechea's Elvio Matia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Henric in the 81st minute of play. Robustiano Barea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramon Otsando read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Justo Etxekopar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Natalio Primeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 89 minutes, Justo Etxekopar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Larrechea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justo Etxekopar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the game, Justo Etxekopar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ramon Otsando. Justo Etxekopar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Elvio Matia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafino Nel, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Atletico Los Locos succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Larrechea had controlled the match.
