Spectators: 7196 (Terracing: 5406, Seating: 1647, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Teofilo Selmo kicked off to start the match. Teofilo Selmo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Iker Nerio came out and tried to block the shot, but Teofilo Selmo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Selmo in the 10th minute of play forced Patricios Futbol Club's goalkeeper Iker Nerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Cirilo Cibran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iker Nerio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aldo Dei in the 15th minute. Patricios Futbol Club's Iker Nerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casimiro Tano in the 18th minute of play. After some careless play in the San Martín de Tucumán defense, Cirilo Cibran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narciso Regis. The San Martín de Tucumán fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narciso Regis should have stopped the shot. When Cirilo Cibran came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Patricios Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cirilo Cibran couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Beturian in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Narciso Regis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cirilo Cibran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Narciso Regis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casimiro Tano hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Narciso Regis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cirilo Cibran, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Cirilo Cibran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in San Martín de Tucumán's zone, Osvaldo Beturian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narciso Regis came out of the goal and Osvaldo Beturian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd minute, Casimiro Tano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Narciso Regis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Beturian in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Cirilo Cibran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Regis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 played minutes San Martín de Tucumán got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Tano. In the 46th minute, Alvaro Sotero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvaldo Beturian to make the kick off. Angel Gumaro charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angel Gumaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Patricios Futbol Club booed when San Martín de Tucumán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Gumaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rene Iztal struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Narciso Regis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Patricios Futbol Club. Rene Iztal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Casimiro Tano kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Piorno got free with Narciso Regis in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Cirilo Cibran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Patricios Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Cirilo Cibran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Narciso Regis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the San Martín de Tucumán defense, Osvaldo Beturian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narciso Regis. The San Martín de Tucumán fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narciso Regis should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Osvaldo Beturian sped through San Martín de Tucumán's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Narciso Regis. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvaldo Beturian got free with Narciso Regis in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Narciso Regis managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Patricios Futbol Club's Osvaldo Beturian fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Narciso Regis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cirilo Cibran showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 84 minute of play. When Teofilo Selmo fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Martín de Tucumán's protests and gave Teofilo Selmo a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes San Martín de Tucumán got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Selmo. 90 minutes into the match, San Martín de Tucumán's goalkeeper Narciso Regis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldo Beturian.
