The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Amancio Charro managed to get in a good position for a shot. HUNGERS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amancio Charro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Narciso Regis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the match, Amado Tartalo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marciano Eate, 1-0. An unexpected shot in the 18th minute by Teofilo Selmo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Inocente in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Narciso Regis saved San Martín de Tucumán from getting behind. Narciso Regis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Inocente, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The supporters of San Martín de Tucumán booed when HUNGERS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmelo Frutos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victorio Dolcet was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 25th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Amado Tartalo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marciano Eate was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. When Amado Tartalo came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the San Martín de Tucumán fans jumped to their feet. HUNGERS FC's Francisco Inocente got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, HUNGERS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Tartalo came free, but Marciano Eate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Jacobo Sotil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Narciso Regis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Inocente in the 70th minute of the match. Francisco Inocente blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Narciso Regis having to make a save. With his leg Narciso Regis managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when HUNGERS FC's Amancio Charro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. HUNGERS FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
