The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 6 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Fliz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Alejo Veronica was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Infinity's zone, Dante Demario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Aguirre came out of the goal and Dante Demario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Ranchillos's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Balasi came free, but Alejo Veronica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Ranchillos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Mino to maneuver through the defense. Alejo Veronica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Fliz in the 20th minute of play. In the 20th minute Alfredo Theobald suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Tomas Firmin fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ranchillos's protests and gave Tomas Firmin a yellow card for diving instead. If Pedro Balasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 minutes, Elpidio Lamberto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ranchillos and the Infinity players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes Ranchillos got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Lamberto. With his leg Mariano Aguirre managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Ranchillos's Roman Pacorro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dante Demario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roman Pacorro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Mariano Aguirre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Infinity getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Nemesio Tristan hit a great ball. Dante Demario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Infinity's Pedro Balasi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alejo Veronica narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Dante Demario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Infinity getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Alberto Caton hit a great ball. Pedro Balasi's late challenge caught a Ranchillos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Balasi helped the player get up and apologised. If Roman Pacorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Roman Pacorro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mariano Aguirre was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Ismael Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Balasi struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Alejo Veronica didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Infinity. Primitivo Mino hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. With his leg Alejo Veronica managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Infinity's Pedro Balasi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 74 minutes into the match, Ranchillos's goalkeeper Alejo Veronica had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Balasi. Alberto Hernando hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Pedro Balasi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ranchillos's Alejo Veronica proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Ranchillos from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Infinity defense, Roman Pacorro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mariano Aguirre. The Infinity fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mariano Aguirre should have stopped the shot. Pedro Balasi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dante Demario came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Ranchillos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Demario couldn't finish the play. The Ranchillos fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Ranchillos's Roman Pacorro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ranchillos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Infinity had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
