Rodrigo Fliz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Infinity's Wilfredo Ayala threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rodrigo Fliz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 25 minutes into the match, Infinity's Pedro Balasi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilfredo Ayala narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mariano Aguirre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Orlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of Infinity:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Velez sarsfield:s goal. If Zeledon Lawrence had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mariano Aguirre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Orlan in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Alfredo Theobald left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Infinity fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Pedro Balasi struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Wilfredo Ayala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Infinity. Alfredo Theobald struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Wilfredo Ayala was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rodrigo Fliz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 46 minute of play.

Saturnino Ermengol kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Velez sarsfield's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alberto Caton was slow to take the kick. During this time Infinity's players had a chance to rest. Infinity's Filomeno Weather was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wilfredo Ayala in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Pedro Balasi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Ayala having to interfere. Mariano Aguirre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Orlan in the 72nd minute of play. When Sebastian Orlan came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Velez sarsfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Orlan couldn't finish the play. Pedro Balasi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodrigo Fliz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Wilfredo Ayala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Balasi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute, Rodrigo Fliz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Velez sarsfield players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Infinity.
