After the first half Ranchillos were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Octavio Barros made a kick off. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alejo Veronica showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 81st minute of the match, Roman Pacorro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Astor Mouricio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Roman Pacorro might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Astor Mouricio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roman Pacorro ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Ranchillos defense, Saturnino Castel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alejo Veronica. The Ranchillos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alejo Veronica should have stopped the shot. Roman Pacorro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Astor Mouricio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, Chacho F.C could leave the field as winners, despite Ranchillos having more of the ball for most of the match.
