When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jimeno Baristo made a kick off. Santos Maule recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Francisco Banegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Mergildo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Erasmo Loreto. After 61 minutes of play, Pueyrredón FC's Santos Maule made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Laureano Bertran was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Salamanca's zone, Santos Maule stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laureano Bertran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Banegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute, Santos Maule ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laureano Bertran was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Gregorio Gau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute Francisco Banegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laureano Bertran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Banegas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laureano Bertran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Salamanca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Ramirez to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Salamanca's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luis Mannuel was slow to take the kick. During this time Pueyrredón FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Pueyrredón FC's corner Luis Mannuel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Laureano Bertran quite easily take care of the ball. Francisco Banegas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pueyrredón FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Salamanca for a fine match.
