The referee showed Paulo Aresti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alfredo Dodorol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonatan Abel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Cirilo Bazil made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Unión Obrera's zone, Ruben Joachim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonatan Abel came out of the goal and Ruben Joachim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Cream Team getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Genaro Gelacio hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cream Team's zone, Cirilo Bazil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Taurino came out of the goal and Cirilo Bazil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Genaro Gelacio hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Eleuterio Brun's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Tomás Taurino skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 73 played minutes, Cream Team's Nemesio Oliverio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonatan Abel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line.
