A collision led to Unión Obrera getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Paulo Aresti hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cirilo Bazil during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Unión Obrera's Cirilo Bazil got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Eleuterio Brun made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 12thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Laureano Bertran would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Laureano Bertran made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Eleuterio Brun sent off a good shot on target. Unión Obrera's Jonatan Abel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Baristo in the 17th minute of play. Dalmacio Lando's late challenge caught a Salamanca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dalmacio Lando helped the player get up and apologised. Dalmacio Lando kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Salamanca's Bartolo Bartuelo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 19th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Unión Obrera. In the 24th minute Cirilo Bazil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laureano Bertran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eleuterio Brun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Martin Ramirez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salamanca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Salamanca getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Martin Ramirez hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Eleuterio Brun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unión Obrera's supporters rose to their feet, but Eleuterio Brun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laureano Bertran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute, Cirilo Bazil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Eleuterio Brun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the game, Gaspar Matxin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salamanca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Unión Obrera the free kick. In the 41st match minute, Salamanca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Matxin to maneuver through the defense. Laureano Bertran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Bazil in the 42nd minute of play. After the first half Salamanca were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cirilo Bazil stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Salamanca's Laureano Bertran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Bazil in the 56th minute of play. Gregorio Gau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Jonatan Abel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Salamanca's zone, Eleuterio Brun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laureano Bertran came out of the goal and Eleuterio Brun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Unión Obrera's Eleuterio Brun got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Laureano Bertran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cirilo Bazil went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Laureano Bertran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Bazil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the game, Unión Obrera's Cirilo Bazil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Laureano Bertran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
