The Adolfo Mergildo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santos Maule made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, La Viola de Betito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Frechoso to maneuver through the defense. Santos Maule fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Marquez having to interfere.
