In the 58th minute, Delmiro Eli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Charrillos FC's Delmiro Eli got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliseo Fiz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prospero Evis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. One of Charrillos FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Malaspina:s goal. Isidro Gelmiro shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseo Fiz got free with Prospero Evis in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eliseo Fiz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prospero Evis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Charrillos FC's zone, Hector Franco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eleuterio Asteri came out of the goal and Hector Franco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 93 played minutes Charrillos FC got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Oroitz. When Hector Franco came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Malaspina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Franco couldn't finish the play. If Eliseo Fiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Malaspina's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
