Armando Vedillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esteban Justin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armando Vedillo ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 40 minutes, Albino Dabi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Owls FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albino Dabi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Esteban Justin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Vedillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, Albino Dabi notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Deportivo Humito's Esteban Justin. Esteban Justin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
