When Nicasio Garaile came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Médanos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicasio Garaile couldn't finish the play. If Tadeo Ariando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Médanos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Freddy Pacho scored to the left of an out of position Simon Llorienzo, making the score, 1-0. If Tadeo Ariando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Médanos's Simon Llorienzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Pacho in the 22nd minute of play. Rumios's Honorio Ilazki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Etxatxu in the 25th minute of play. If Nicasio Garaile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute Nicasio Garaile shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorio Ilazki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Benicio Tello took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Simon Llorienzo. Simon Llorienzo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Feliciano Baladi during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st match minute, Médanos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliciano Baladi to maneuver through the defense. Simon Llorienzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Pacho, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Benicio Tello's late challenge caught a Médanos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicasio Garaile sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the match, Rumios's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Etxatxu came free, but Honorio Ilazki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Ramon Suarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tadeo Ariando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tadeo Ariando struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Simon Llorienzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rumios. After some careless play in the Médanos defense, Freddy Pacho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simon Llorienzo. The Médanos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simon Llorienzo should have stopped the shot. Médanos's Simon Llorienzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Pacho in the 91st minute of play. Médanos's Nicasio Garaile got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rumios had won after a very even match.
