In the 4th match minute, Manantiales FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Pero to maneuver through the defense. After 5 played minutes, Médanos's Casimiro Hernando shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roman Claude came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Médanos reached it. 6 minutes into the game, Nicasio Garaile cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Roman Claude was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Manantiales FC's Roman Claude played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Etxatxu in the 9th minute of play. After 11 minutes, Nicasio Garaile made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Manantiales FC's Roman Claude tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Igor Etxatxu struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Roman Claude didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Médanos. Manantiales FC's Roman Claude played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Garaile in the 16th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Vladimiro Cordeara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Médanos's Igor Etxatxu got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Médanos's zone, Eustacio Gartzen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Llorienzo came out of the goal and Eustacio Gartzen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horacio Pero kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustacio Gartzen got free with Simon Llorienzo in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Simon Llorienzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Ramirez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Nicasio Garaile got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Nicasio Garaile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicasio Garaile struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Roman Claude didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Médanos. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Igor Etxatxu to make the kick off. Roman Claude stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Igor Etxatxu's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Médanos's Nicasio Garaile got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Hugo Ramirez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Ramirez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 minutes, Joel Misael mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Médanos and the Manantiales FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Manantiales FC booed when Médanos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Misael didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Joel Misael was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 64 minutes had been played. Enzo Abeita hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Eustacio Gartzen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manantiales FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eustacio Gartzen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Llorienzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eustacio Gartzen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Llorienzo having to interfere. Eustacio Gartzen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Simon Llorienzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Eustacio Gartzen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88th minute, Eustacio Gartzen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manantiales FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Roman Claude made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicasio Garaile in the 97th minute. The Médanos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Médanos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
