In the 5th match minute, La Gagoneta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Santiago to maneuver through the defense. After 10 played minutes Wilde AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Anaya. Ciriaco Porfiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thor Husøy in the 15th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Herminio Galindo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wilde AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Gagoneta FC the free kick. In the 22nd minute, Serafino Polo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciriaco Porfiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thor Husøy, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thor Husøy in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciriaco Porfiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 27 minutes into the game, Melquiades Ihazintu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wilde AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Gagoneta FC the free kick. In the 27th minute, Melquiades Ihazintu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andres Beltxe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benicio Diaz in the 32nd minute. Thor Husøy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciriaco Porfiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Thor Husøy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Porfiro having to interfere. After some careless play in the Wilde AFC defense, Cirilo Ferman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciriaco Porfiro. The Wilde AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciriaco Porfiro should have stopped the shot. Andres Beltxe was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Melquiades Ihazintu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Melquiades Ihazintu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thor Husøy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Cirilo Ferman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Gagoneta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cirilo Ferman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thor Husøy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciriaco Porfiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Thor Husøy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Ciriaco Porfiro made a huge save. Ciriaco Porfiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filomeno Servando in the 68th minute of play. Wilde AFC's Ciriaco Porfiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Wilde AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd match minute, Wilde AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Ihazintu to maneuver through the defense. Thor Husøys short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Ciriaco Porfiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Andres Beltxe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Diaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dario Santiago got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Wilde AFC booed when La Gagoneta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Santiago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilde AFC's Rodrigo Anaya couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 84th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for La Gagoneta FC. After having played for 89 minutes, Benicio Diaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wilde AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benicio Diaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Thor Husøy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cirilo Ferman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciriaco Porfiro having to make a save. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
