But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jairo Eliazar couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Médanos booed when Ballester FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaias Eder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simon Llorienzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Gaitano in the 15th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Joel Misael took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Fernando Urtun to make any attempt to save it. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Fernando Urtun successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Ballester FC's Fernando Urtun got control of the ball when Nicasio Garaile tried to sneak it across the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Igor Etxatxu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fernando Urtun, 2-0. 30 minutes into the match, Ariel Gaitano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simon Llorienzo. Médanos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ariel Gaitano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Fernando Urtun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Etxatxu in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Gaitano in the 40th minute of play forced Médanos's goalkeeper Simon Llorienzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ballester FC booed when Médanos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Etxatxu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Urtun made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Nicasio Garaile sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Igor Etxatxu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Igor Etxatxu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Médanos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 56 minutes into the match, Médanos's goalkeeper Simon Llorienzo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ariel Gaitano. Simon Llorienzo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ariel Gaitano in the 59th minute. The Ballester FC fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Ballester FC's Jairo Eliazar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ariel Gaitano made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 64thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Simon Llorienzo would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Ballester FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Eliazar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Damian Aureo kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Nicasio Garaile shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Urtun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ariel Gaitano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Simon Llorienzo made a huge save. Clemente Telesforo charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clemente Telesforo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 73 played minutes Médanos got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Telesforo. After 81 played minutes Médanos got a freekick which was hit by Nicasio Garaile. Ariel Gaitano spun around in front of the goal 82 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Médanos's goal. If Jairo Eliazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
