Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ariel Gaitano in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Honorio Ilazki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 14thth minute of the game Ariel Gaitano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rumios's Honorio Ilazki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benicio Tello hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Honorio Ilazki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Eliazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando Urtun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benicio Tello, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Inocencio Beat charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inocencio Beat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ballester FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Fernando Urtun came out of the goal and Tadeo Ariando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Rumios getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Tadeo Ariando hit a great ball. When Jairo Eliazar came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Ballester FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jairo Eliazar couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute, Freddy Pacho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rumios fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 37 minutes into the match, Ballester FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Ariando came free, but Fernando Urtun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute Ariel Gaitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorio Ilazki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Freddy Pacho fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rumios's protests and gave Freddy Pacho a yellow card for diving instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Freddy Pacho to make the kick off. Herminio Musko was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 54 minutes into the match. The supporters of Rumios booed when Ballester FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Abadia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tadeo Ariando's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Urtun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Benicio Tello received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fernando Urtun came out and tried to block the shot, but Benicio Tello slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 75th minute. Rumios's Honorio Ilazki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Eliazar in the 81st minute of play. Ramon Suarez charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramon Suarez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Rumios's Ramon Suarez got a free kick in the 85th minute. If Jairo Eliazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ballester FC's Fernando Urtun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Pacho in the 93rd minute of play. Tadeo Ariando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Fernando Urtun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Although Ballester FC had been in control for most of the match, Rumios still came away with the win.
