After some careless play in the Luganofootball defense, Fausto Beltran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anastasio Ishmael. The Luganofootball fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anastasio Ishmael should have stopped the shot. Valentin Txomin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Fidel Niva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alejandro Lalla hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Arturo Joey struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Fidel Niva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luganofootball. After 27 minutes, Bartolo Tuste mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independiente and the Luganofootball players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 minutes of play, Independiente's Filomeno Lorien made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anastasio Ishmael was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fidel Niva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silvio Rufio went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fausto Beltran was the one to do the kick off. Anastasio Ishmael didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filomeno Lorien went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Valentin Txomin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. One of Luganofootball:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Independiente:s goal. During the 96th minute of the match Alejandro Lalla completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alejandro Lalla a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
