Jonathan Artal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tarcisio Negri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nemesio Telo's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. After a rather tough play, C.A. Independiente's Edgard Lonzo got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 26th minute, C.A. Independiente's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nemesio Telo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to NDI FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Antonio Milian hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Cordarell in the 30th minute of play forced NDI FC's goalkeeper Hector Bastian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nemesio Telo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Tarcisio Negri skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tarcisio Negri came out of the goal and Nemesio Telo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
