In the 9th minute, Vicente Ostargi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Raíces FC's Cornelio Loco in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Iker Eguntsenti was slow to take the kick. During this time Luganofootball's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Ignacio Gonza managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 23rd minute Raíces FC were awarded a corner. Desiderio Eron went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Desiderio Eron almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Luganofootball's Anastasio Ishmael did a great save. Anastasio Ishmael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benigno Mirande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Casimiro Gutierrez in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Madeo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Raíces FC's Benigno Mirande got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute of the match Iker Eguntsenti shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gabriel Madeo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Luganofootball booed when Raíces FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benigno Mirande didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vicente Ostargi in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anastasio Ishmael saved Luganofootball from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Luganofootball's Valentin Txomin got a free kick in the 41st minute. Anastasio Ishmael stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vicente Ostargi's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. If Cornelio Loco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cornelio Loco to make the kick off. Casimiro Gutierrez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Madeo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Anastasio Ishmael made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Vicente Ostargi sent off a good shot on target. Benigno Mirande kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Anastasio Ishmael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelio Loco in the 71st minute of play. After 72 played minutes Raíces FC got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Loco. Vicente Ostargi in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anastasio Ishmael, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cornelio Loco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Ishmael having to interfere. The Raíces FC fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Raíces FC's Cornelio Loco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Raíces FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Raíces FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
