Spectators: 7364 (Terracing: 5524, Seating: 1693, VIP seats: 147) Danilo Jakes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, A.S. Roma Baires's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Jakes came free, but Casimiro Peyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as A.S. Roma Baires's Guaberto Gartzi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rodrigo Fanuco. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Guaberto Gartzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Rodrigo Fanuco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodrigo Fanuco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Harriet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inocencio Santxol in the 15th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Rodrigo Fanuco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo Fanuco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justino Harriet, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Rodrigo Fanuco was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Justino Harriet showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 21 minute of play. In the 26th minute, Guaberto Gartzi fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 31st minute Justino Harriet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Fanuco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guaberto Gartzi in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodrigo Fanuco saved River Plate from getting behind. Rodrigo Fanuco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edelmiro Bieito in the 39th minute. After 43 played minutes A.S. Roma Baires got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Gartzi. The River Plate fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when River Plate's Danilo Jakes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Justino Harriet was the one to do the kick off. A.S. Roma Baires's Inocencio Santxol got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Justino Harriet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.S. Roma Baires fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Justino Harriet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodrigo Fanuco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Rodrigo Fanuco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Justino Harriet went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Santiago Locaio got a free kick in the 71st minute. River Plate's Rodrigo Fanuco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guaberto Gartzi in the 75th minute of play. Casimiro Peyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Naelio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inocencio Santxol struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Rodrigo Fanuco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.S. Roma Baires. Justino Harriet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodrigo Fanuco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Bieito in the 82nd minute of the match. Justino Harriet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodrigo Fanuco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. If Inocencio Santxol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
