After 14 played minutes Rawson got a freekick which was hit by Fermin Aires. Ichigualasto AFC's Arnoldo Hegoi shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 18th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Hector Pitin but with some difficulty. Justino Bibiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Giro in the 19th minute of play. Samuel Honrio struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Justino Bibiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rawson. In the 31st minute, Agustin Cai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Samuel Honrio came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Rawson fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Honrio couldn't finish the play. Nicolas Santiago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Pitin having to interfere. When Damian Caitano came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Ichigualasto AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Caitano couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Nicolas Santiago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ichigualasto AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Santiago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hector Pitin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicolas Santiago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Damian Caitano made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Rawson getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Artemio Benat hit a great ball. In the 58th minute of the match Julian Rey sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hector Pitin skillfully saved the ball. Damian Caitano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Caitano in the 61st minute of play forced Rawson's goalkeeper Hector Pitin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hector Pitin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Caitano in the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Ichigualasto AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rodrigo Giro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samuel Honrio in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Justino Bibiano saved Ichigualasto AFC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Ichigualasto AFC's Nicolas Santiago got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 89 minutes into the game, Jorge Pasqual was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ichigualasto AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rawson the free kick. After 89 played minutes Ichigualasto AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Pasqual. Rawson's attack was well implemented in the 91st minute, but when Samuel Honrio was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
