Amador Raymond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Tello in the 13th minute of play forced Ataxia FC's goalkeeper Froilan Ekhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Amador Raymond recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Froilan Ekhi. Amador Raymond showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Leonardo Florinio hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Carlisle FC's Lorenzo Mosen tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Baldomiro Maldonado's late challenge caught a Carlisle FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baldomiro Maldonado helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, Ataxia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Maldonado to maneuver through the defense. Jose Figueroa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Froilan Ekhi made a huge save. 36 minutes into the match, Amador Raymond notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Ataxia FC's Froilan Ekhi. Froilan Ekhi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amador Raymond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Saturnino Valery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silverio Gorbea to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Jose Figueroa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carlisle FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jose Figueroa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Froilan Ekhi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Amador Raymond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. Amador Raymond scored 3-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Froilan Ekhi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. One of Ataxia FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carlisle FC:s goal. Damian Paublo's late challenge caught a Carlisle FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlisle FC's Agne Browall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Gorbea in the 82nd minute of play. Leonardo Osasun hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Froilan Ekhi came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Carlisle FC's Jose Figueroa. But to his dismay, Jose Figueroa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Carlisle FC's Luis Mancio got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Froilan Ekhi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Figueroa in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute Edelmiro Tello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froilan Ekhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Carlisle FC booed when Ataxia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silverio Gorbea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlisle FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
