Jonatan Cordarius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Polentzi having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Erasmo Veremundo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aquiles Polentzi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Erasmo Veremundo might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aquiles Polentzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erasmo Veremundo ran back to his position shaking his head.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Constantino Mergildo to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Pumas de B.Juarez defense, Braulio Llin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aquiles Polentzi. The Pumas de B.Juarez fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aquiles Polentzi should have stopped the shot.
