Carrizal AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliberto Castel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Clodoveo Urbes fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curumalán FC's protests and gave Clodoveo Urbes a yellow card for diving instead. Curumalán FC's Aquiles Tajo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Curumalán FC from getting a goal against them.
