Marco Ponciano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th match minute, Buchanan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saul Licerio to maneuver through the defense. Artemio Montez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Liberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Buchanan FC's zone, Marco Ponciano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artemio Montez came out of the goal and Marco Ponciano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute, Alejo Formerio had to leave the field with a concussion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Astor Belarmo during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Astor Belarmo kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Roman Urtun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Licerio in the 17th minute of the match. Buchanan FC's Artemio Montez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Buchanan FC from getting a goal against them. When Marco Ponciano came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Automoto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Ponciano couldn't finish the play. Automoto's Eulalio Columbo got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Marco Ponciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artemio Montez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Ponciano in the 29th minute. Artemio Montez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marco Ponciano went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Automoto getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Eulalio Columbo hit a great ball. Roman Urtun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Licerio in the 38th minute of the match. Buchanan FC's Saul Licerio got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roman Urtun came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Buchanan FC's Ignacio Columbo. But to his dismay, Ignacio Columbo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Saul Licerio made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Buchanan FC's Ignacio Columbo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roman Urtun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Marco Ponciano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Saul Licerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Automoto's zone, Saul Licerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Urtun came out of the goal and Saul Licerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th minute, Saul Licerio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Saul Licerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Roman Urtun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marco Ponciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Marco Ponciano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artemio Montez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a rather tough play, Automoto's Pastor Luix got a free kick in the 90th minute. Roman Urtun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Licerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Marco Ponciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saul Licerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Urtun having to interfere. Buchanan FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
