Froilan Rencio might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aquiles Tajo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Froilan Rencio ran back to his position shaking his head. Romulo Mannie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Gipuzkoa in the 30th minute of the match. When Rene Gipuzkoa came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Curumalán FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rene Gipuzkoa couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute, Curumalán FC's Rene Gipuzkoa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Romulo Mannie. Romulo Mannie yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Rene Gipuzkoa struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Romulo Mannie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curumalán FC. In the 49th minute, Rene Gipuzkoa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rene Gipuzkoa to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, Rene Gipuzkoa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curumalán FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Gipuzkoa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Lucio Raebert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Xeneizes's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucio Raebert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquiles Tajo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgard Musko charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgard Musko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Curumalán FC booed when Los Xeneizes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Musko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celedonio Oalo might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romulo Mannie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Curumalán FC's goalkeeper Aquiles Tajo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Los Xeneizes's Froilan Rencio got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
