Adolfo Banegas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Raebert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celestino Tadzio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romulo Mannie having to interfere. Romulo Mannie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celestino Tadzio in the 9th minute of play. Celestino Tadzio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 11th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Romulo Mannie made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Marcial Estevez sent off a good shot on target. Lucio Raebert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Banegas having to interfere. Adolfo Banegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Raebert in the 19th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute of the match Rodolfo Pacorro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adolfo Banegas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Cazador booed when Los Xeneizes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidio Rufio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Froilan Rencio struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Adolfo Banegas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Xeneizes. Erasmo Hori kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Romulo Mannie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celestino Tadzio in the 39th minute of play. Froilan Rencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Banegas having to interfere. When Froilan Rencio came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Los Xeneizes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Froilan Rencio couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucio Raebert to strike the kick off in the second half. Froilan Rencio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adolfo Banegas having to make a save. After having played for 54 minutes, Lucio Raebert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Xeneizes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucio Raebert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 58 minutes of play, Cazador's Marcial Estevez made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romulo Mannie was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 68 played minutes Los Xeneizes got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Guillelme. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcial Estevez in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romulo Mannie saved Los Xeneizes from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucio Raebert in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolfo Banegas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lucio Raebert received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adolfo Banegas came out and tried to block the shot, but Lucio Raebert slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 88th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
