The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Victoriano Abascals short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Octavio Veremundo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 6th minute, Jonasito's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Johnni Bebo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 8 played minutes Jonasito got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Oxarra. If Victoriano Abascal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes in the game, Leopoldo Viviano fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Octavio Veremundo having to interfere. When DyJ's Victoriano Abascal in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jonasito's goalie prevented a goal. Benicio Onbera kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. A hard shot 29 in the game by Victoriano Abascal from a close distance when the talented Octavio Veremundo managed to make a qualified save. Jonasito's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Jonasito's zone, Tiburcio Balendin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Veremundo came out of the goal and Tiburcio Balendin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Severino Jakue fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Veremundo having to interfere. Froilan Ted kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnni Bebo in the 45th minute of play forced Jonasito's goalkeeper Octavio Veremundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When DyJ's Victoriano Abascal in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jonasito's goalie prevented a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

After having played for 51 minutes, Victoriano Abascal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DyJ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victoriano Abascal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victoriano Abascal struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Octavio Veremundo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DyJ. The supporters of DyJ booed when Jonasito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damaso Berasko didn't get a good kick on the ball. DyJ's Martin McNiven proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save DyJ from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute Victoriano Abascal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Veremundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Abel Gabirel managed to get in a good position for a shot. DyJ's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Gabirel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavio Veremundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victoriano Abascal took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Octavio Veremundo. Octavio Veremundo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Jonasito's Octavio Veremundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victoriano Abascal in the 83rd minute of play. Octavio Veremundo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victoriano Abascal's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Victoriano Abascal sped through Jonasito's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Octavio Veremundo. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Victoriano Abascal managed to get in a good position for a shot. DyJ's supporters rose to their feet, but Victoriano Abascal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavio Veremundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jonasito's goalkeeper Octavio Veremundo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. DyJ fully deserved thier win.
