Florentino Peio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geronimo Hug in the 28th minute. When Francisco Nevada came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Hielo y Fuego AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Nevada couldn't finish the play. If Armando Montez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Ciro Jakes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Peio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
