Jedrzej Bielecki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 18 minutes into the game, Marcial Birjaio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Abolengo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gerli FC the free kick. El Abolengo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alberto Pio in the 31st minute. A nice corner shot did that Alberto Pio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bonifacio Donostia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 34 played minutes El Abolengo got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Birjaio. If Valentin Nofre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerli FC's Bonifacio Donostia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Gerli FC from getting a goal against them. Honorio Arnalt took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bonifacio Donostia. Bonifacio Donostia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Honorio Arnalt to make the kick off. In the 50thth minute of the game Gonzalo Chico who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Abolengo's Jedrzej Bielecki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
